One Piece and Dragon Ball Super will join soon in a new crossover animated by the duration of an hour?

According to the first advances of the 38 number of “Weekly Shonen Jump”, which is available from Monday 21 August 2017 in Japan, the animated series Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Super, and One Piece – both produced by Toei Animation, they will have each a special episode by the duration of an hour, and then divided into two episodes. The whole is planned for next autumn.

This Fall, One Piece and Dragon Ball will have 1 hour specials over 2 weeks. Key Visual to be revealed next week. (Might be a crossover) pic.twitter.com/ChEPjlxBFd— YonkouProductions (@YonkouProd) August 17, 2017

At the moment it is not yet clear if this is a special episode crossover, where the two universes merge into a single common history, or if the two series separately, will have an episode of an hour (divided into two weeks). From the moment that One Piece and Dragon Ball Super are transmitted both on a Sunday in Japan, other theories want the two episodes to go in one wave behind the other so as to occupy an hour, and in this case, the hypothesis of a crossover would be closer to reality.

However, in the next issue of the weekly magazine, the 39°, will be provided the key visual and we expect more information about.

Of course, if we’re going to learn more details first of next week, we will inform you promptly.

One Piece Hollywood Live Action Tv Series Announced!

According to new reports from Yahoo! Japan, Eiichiro Oda has confirmed One Piece will be getting a live-action Hollywood adaptation in the form of a TV show.

Hiroyuki Nakano, editor-in-chief of publisher Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jumpanthology, appeared at an event at Tokyo Tower on July 21 to commemorate the manga’s 20th anniversary (One Piece’s first chapter was published in Weekly Shonen Jump in July of 1997). While there, Nakano made the shocking announcement that not only is a live-action One Piece TV series in the works, but that it’ll be produced in the U.S. Handling production on the series will be Tomorrow Studios, the production company which counts Marty Adelstein, producer of Prison Break, among its members and which is also working on a live-action adaptation of 1998 anime Cowboy Bebop.

At the event, a statement from Oda was presented, in which One Piece’s creator said:

“There have been talks of making a live-action One Piece movie many times over the past 20 years, and we began seriously perusing the idea three years ago. There were many twists and turns along the way, but we’ve found a good partner, coincidentally just as the manga’s 20th anniversary comes. I am very happy.”

Oda went on to say that he has placed a condition upon the live-action project, specifically that it “absolutely not betray the fans who have supported the franchise for 20 years.”

A statement from Adelstein was also presented, in which the producer said that he has been a fan of One Piece for 20 years. He also predicted that the live-action One Piece will be the most-expensive TV series ever produced, and that given the worldwide attention he expects the adaptation to receive, such investment will be well justified.

No details were provided regarding when the series would begin airing, nor which parts of the 872-chapter (and growing) One Piece manga would be adapted.

Portgas D. Ace Spin-Off Announced!

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of ‘One Piece’, Shonen Jump has big plans in hand, including a novel titled One Piece Novel “A” focused on the backstory and journey of the previous owner of the Mera Mera no Mi, Portgas D. Ace.
One Piece Novel “A” will be serialized in the upcoming One Piece Magazine. The first three issues of the magazine will go on sale in July, August, and September, respectively.

It looks like the writer of this of this novel might be Ryohgo Narita, best known for his “Durarara!!!, Baccano.”

Ace’s death is one of the saddest moments in the whole anime series. He died protecting his brother Luffy, he couldn’t stop Akainu’s magma, so his only choice was to stop the attack with his own body. His death really was so terrible and quite unexpected.

Fans are now very excited to see the return of the King of Pirates Gol D. Roger’s son.

So what do you think about this project?
