The Whole Cake Island arc will premiere on April 9th

“One Piece’s” official website released the key and supporting character visuals for the upcoming Whole Cake Island Arc.

The Whole Cake Island Arc will start with the 783rd episode on April 9th. In this episode, fans will witness Sanji falling in love the picture of Charlotte Pudding, whom he is supposed to marry. In addition, this episode will show the Straw Hat pirates pursuing their quest to save Sanji on Whole Cake Island that Big Mom reigns.

One Piece “Marine Supernova Arc” begins March 19th

One Piece announced that the anime series would begin a new arc called “Marine Supernova Arc” on March 19th. The new filler-only storyline is declared to introduce Marine Soldiers.
The key visuals portrays Luffy with his usual iconic straw hat costume facing three strong and highly skilled Marine Soldiers. The soldier’s names are Grant, Bonamu, and Sappa. Their vice-admiral is named as Prody.

The “Marine Supernova Arc” will center on Luffy and the rest of party in an adventure to save Sanji. The team comes across with Marine Soldiers in search of food when the crew runs out during their adventures. Weekly Shonen Jump detailed that the team sneaks out to a Marine base to steal some supplies they needed for their journey. Luffy was caught by surprised and was stopped by three new Marine Soldiers from the Aokiji’s crew.

One Piece Film Gold Earns 4 Billion Yen!

One Piece Film Gold has garnered more than 4 billion yen (approximately $41 million)  since it premiered in over 700 theaters in Japan last month. This makes it the third highest earning movie in One Piece franchise, just a few digits behind One Piece: Strong World and One Piece Film Z.8bc6379be7fc54f66de3b4aa0e7be50c

One Piece Film Gold gets its release in 33 countries. It follows the Straw Hat Pirates’ journey to the Gran Tesoro, where they take on rich man Gild Tesoro. As the 13th pic in the franchise, it takes place after the Dressrosa Arc.

The release of the movie in Japan showed an enormous success. Many entrepreneurs in the country are now getting good amount of cash out of selling One Piece-inspired collectibles.

One Piece TV series director Hiroaki Miyamoto also helmed the movie. On the other hand, manga creator Eiichiro Oda served as one of the writers and producers.

ONE PIECE STORY IS ABOUT 65% FINISHED!

According to an interview by “Dai One Piece Shimbun” to One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, the storyline of the most popular manga of all time is finished at around 65 percent. Oda also stated that he can’t do any more long stories besides One Piece.

One Piece was first launched back in 1997 and it continues to be published in the Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan. It has been animated by Toei Animation as early as 1999, with the over 750 episodes to date.

Oda in recent years has managed to release about 40 chapters per year. If he continues to go at the same pace as now, it would take roughly 10 years to finish the series!

New Image Visual for “Tokyo One Piece Tower” Theme Park Posted

 

The official website for Tokyo One Piece Tower today updated with a new image visual featuring the main characters and announced that it adds an attraction featuring Usopp, tentatively titled “Mezase Sogeking (Let’s be the Sogeking).”

“Tokyo One Piece Tower” is set in Tokyo Tower, 333-metre-tall and the second tallest tower in Japan, and is scheduled to open on March 13. The advance tickets are now available at the 7-11 convenience stores across Japan. The ticket price for adult is 3,000 yen (3,200 yen for the day ticket), and 1,500 yen (1,600 yen) for kids in the age 4-12. The theme park will have live character shows, attractions featuring each characters (see the images below), restaurants, and shops for original merchandise.

Anime fans learned today from an Aoni Production post that veteran voice actor Chikao Ohtsuka. Long time fans remember him fondly for roles such Goemon in Lupin III, Jagi in the Fist of the North Star movie, TaoPaiPai in Dragon Ball, Professor Moriarty in Sherlock Hound, Joseph in the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure OVA, and more recently, chararcters like One Piece’s Gold Roger.
