Gaimon – Oda’s favourite character

Eiichiro Oda stated that Gaimon was his favorite character in an interview from One Piece Color Walk 1 (published in 2001).

Gaimon has a green afro hairstyle, a black beard, a chubby face and a big mouth. He has been stuck inside a treasure chest for twenty-two years, and his body’s shape has grown accustomed to it overtime, making it virtually impossible for him to get out.

Tashigi was embarrassed

D: In chapter 692, there’s a scene where Nami and Luffy reunite. You can see a stocky-looking sailor who appears to be carrying Tashigi on his shoulder. That’s her, right?! Why is she riding him? She told Zoro, “Let me down when we find my men.” Is Zoro really that worried about her health? Heehee. –Someta

O: Well spotted. Yes, that is Tashigi, but that wasn’t on Zoro’s orders. I think Tashigi being embarrassed by Zoro was simply that she didn’t want her subordinates to see her being helped by a pirate, but being carried by her own men is different. I suppose she might be embarrassed in a different way, though. I don’t really know how young women think.

REVOLUTIONARY ARMY

The Revolutionary Army is a powerful military organization led by Monkey D. Dragon. The Revolutionary Army’s main objective is to fight against the World Government’s rule over the world.

People who join the Revolutionary Army are considered notorious threats to the government, especially the high-ranking members. The leader Dragon is known as “The Most Wanted Man in the World”.Due to being an independent militia, another goal of the Revolutionary Army is arms stockpiling, in order to build up their military strength. They kept tabs on Doflamingo’s underworld activity for the sole purpose of gaining the weapons that he traded, and when Doflamingo was arrested they took all the weapons left on Dressrosa.

The Revolutionaries build up their forces by training young children into adulthood; how they gain most of these children is unknown.

So far, only one of the association’s ships has been shown: Dragon’s unnamed ship. The figurehead and theme in fact appear to be a dragon, complete with a small dragon tail, fitting the name of the leader. This ship was kept around for at least ten years, as seen when Dragon took her to rescue the citizens from the Gray Terminal, and when they landed to get supplies. After the Battle of Marineford, she was seen moored outside of the headquarters. The Revolutionary Army seems to use a plain dark-red triangular flag.

StrawHats and their spirit animals

In an SBS question, a fan asked what animals would they best resemble. When this question was first asked, the Straw Hats had 6 members. At a later SBS, Oda provided the other animals for the remaining crew members. Chapter 651’s color spread depicts each Straw Hat as an animal post-timeskip as well. Some of the crew’s animals are changed, but some stay the same.

KIZARU & HIS DEVIL FRUIT

Let’s begin with Kizaru’s devil fruit Pika Pika no Mi. The light fruit.

What is light? Light is energy. We can have much light or few light, meaning it’s bright or it’s dark. In both cases we can see because there is light.

Well listen to this. Light is not just energy. According to recent studies, light changes substance from energy to wave and from wave to energy.

What can someone do if he is made of light?
Of course he can be a human lamp.
He can produce fire when focusing too much light in one spot. That’s how we have forest fires from pieces of glass.

He can blind his enemy using his light in such a way.

He can move at the speed of light(!!!)

Plot traps:

In Sabaody we saw Kizaru attacking Apoo. He didn’t just teleport ,but he sent a wave of light towards Apoo and when it reached him then in a split second he kicked him.
What we learn from that. Kizaru can’t just teleport anywhere but has to throw a wave of light coming from his df power to teleport anywhere he sends it.

Moreover, we saw Kizaru shooting beams.

In Marineford, in contrast with Sabaody, he could just teleport anywhere he wished.(?)

So how can a light fruit shoot beams?
By focusing too much light (energy) in one thin line.

Also, light can generate radioactive waves. For example, an atomic bomb can generate radioactive waves when exploding killing everything in a radius due to exposure.
The sun creates radioactive waves that can destroy whole planets. What saves us from this is the ozon. It’s also the reason we get sunburnt in the summer, but that is only the softest form of radioactive waves.

One more thing, Kizaru is lazy. He speaks slowly, moves slowly, doesn’t even dodge attacks (vs Marco). We all know Marco is strong but, come on you can move at the speed of light, there is literally NOTHING you can’t avoid.

This power is so hax, as people say , that Kizaru could even kill Whitebeard. Not even the strongest man is fast enough to dodge a sword at the speed of light piercing through his skull.
I repeat now myself that all of these happen in a plotless scenario.

What relates to the light fruit?

THE SUN. The world is full of light, it’s full of energy snacks for Kizaru.
Kizaru could use the light from the sun, from lamps, from fire and electricity etc for his own sake.

Could there be a limit?

Yes scenario:
His draining power Is limited and after a certain point he has major drawbacks in his health. After a certain point he dies.

No scenario:
He can drain so much energy that he could obliterate earth in one blast(like a Ultra huge el thor that creates a hole in earth). How? By draining energy from the sun.

What blocks the sun?

Black holes. Gravitational spheres. Blackbeard. He is the natural enemy of Kizaru. But there is more.

Mirrors, block the light.

When the dinosaurs went extinct they didn’t die because of the meteor, but because of the gas and smoke that hid the sun. Animals died because of gas, plants died because they were lacking light. After the meteor hit earth, the planet was covered with smoke and dust blocking the sunlight. Eternal grey.

The point of this?
In Ace vs Smoker we learned that they cancelled each others ability. Smoke comes from fire. Fire produces light. Smoke blocks light. Food for thought, because this is another subject.

There are tons of things and examples to give about what you can do with light.

Truth is that Kizaru is nerfed due to plot. I think there is no reason to justify this. I expect Oda to give us information about the limits of his power.

Haki and light fruit :
Negation of the light fruit can be done with busoshoku haki ofc. If hit with Color of Armament Haki the body is forced to solidity and takes the hit.
But, Color of Observation Haki is useless. A person at the speed of light can attack you with a million ways, and if you try to block, can change his attack a billion times. You can’t block him in hand to hand combat. You will get hit. Color of Observation Haki can be used against his beams. When Rayleigh fought Kizaru in Sabaody, they were casing swords in normal speed, for plot reasons, because if Rayleigh was attacked at light speed he wouldn’t be able to block, and he would die. Then Luffy would die(end of One Piece). This is what I mean plot reasons.

Countering Kizaru is synonymous to blocking his light. If he can’t use his light speed attacks, he is particularly weakened.

THE MYSTERY REVOLUTIONARY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veer323qiQA

In Episode 746, Doflamingo makes a speech foreshadowing the final war in One Piece, and mentions all the powers of the world, including Yonkos, Supernovas, the Marines, Warlords, and finally, The Revolutionary Army. This is what we saw:
We see Ivankov, as well as Sabo and Dragon…
But who’s the man in the far left?
This definitely can’t be Kuma, since Kuma has a weird jaw shape.
But after watching One Piece Film: Gold, I’ve come up with this theory.
The Mysterious man is Raise Max.
Raise Max is a man who was imprisoned in the dungeons of Gran Tesoro, and helped Luffy and Franky get out of it.

Proof:

  1. You can see the resemblance with the face, and the hat, and signs of facial hair.
  2. Franky mentioned that Max once worked for the Revolutionary Army (He still might).
  3. Dragon seems to have a thing for weird-looking subordinates like Ivankov and Kuma (No offense), and this could be the case.
  4. Ivankov was imprisoned in Impel Down. Max was imprisoned in the dungeons of Gran Tesoro. This could be a message from Oda.

If you still haven’t watched Gold, I recommend you do, it’s great (Gold>Z>Strong World)
Also, watch out for this kid called Rikka in the movie
I have a theory that he was based on Kid Sabo, with the tooth gap and all.
He fights with a pipe too.

Well, this is all I’ve got to say about Film Gold, hope you enjoyed this theory.
Let me know what you guys think.

Ace’s hat and explanation

D: Greetings, Odacchi sensei. Good afternoon(?). This is a question, but the marks on the hat Portgas D. Ace was wearing; do they mean:

☹: Was it okay for me to be born into this world?

: Meeting Pops, Luffy, and loving me so much, I’m glad I was born. Thanks.

…or something like that to indicate Ace’s question and the “Answer” he found? No, it’s gotta be that! When Ace said his quotes before dying, his expressions were the same as his hat. P.N. Nara’s K(Kuuki) Y(Yomeru) (Can read atmosphere)

O: Hmm, I see. I’ve received quite a number of postcards on this one. Those “marks” and “the last expressions”, hm. They are the same. I, also, was shocked when I had this pointed out at first. (Haha) What’s funny is that much to coincidence, that happened to become true. Back then, when Ace made his first introduction, there was sort of an idea of what this dude’s destiny would be inside me, but those marks were just plain old accessories, and so I never thought of a deep meaning. And the expressions of Ace when he was dying, well I just thought that would be relevant and drew those two panels next to each other. Realistically, the face of pain, burning, hurting, feeling bad, and not wanting to die. Still, the feeling of having no regrets. He probably tries to tell that is how he truly feels to Luffy. And that’s what his smile is. When a person cradles a crying baby, he/she always smiles, right? Same as that. Because he wants the person to smile, he dies with a peaceful smile in the end, and I think that shows us his kindness. Thinking that, I drew those panels. Ah- the explaination got kinda long-. Well anyhow- it’s amazing, how you all notice this stuff.

Can both DF users Jack and Brook survive under water?

We all know that Jack the Drought us able to survive underwater as a DF user. Usually, having a DF renders one useless and the results in them typically drowning. It’s pretty obvious from the teeth we saw, that Jack is part fish-man, which allows him to survive underwater, although he cannot move due to eating a devil fruit. So my question is, would the same thing happen to Brook?? If tossed into the ocean, he would be inevitably sink to the bottom, and while not being a fish-man he has already “died” before…lol and breathing really isn’t an issue for brook, well, since he doesn’t need lungs yohohoho!!!
